Construction Begins on Epic Universe Expansion in Celestial Park

A large section of Celestial Park at Epic Universe shut down without notice in early January as construction activity commenced. Aerial photos showed active dirt work and land leveling between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World.

A construction permit filed in January listed "Project P915" as an event space valued at $20.6 million, with a footprint of approximately 150,000 square feet and a distinctive hexagon canopy roof. The estimated completion date is May 7, 2026.

The expansion comes less than a year after Epic Universe's grand opening in May 2025, signaling Universal's aggressive investment in the park's future. Industry analysts believe additional themed lands could follow in subsequent years.
