Epic Universe Still Not at Full Capacity as Execs Discuss Future

Universal is intentionally capping Epic Universe's daily ticket sales below the park's actual capacity. Executives stated that as ride flow and capacity ultimately reaches its maximum potential, they will grow capacity, which will then unlock more attendance possibilities.

The company is targeting full-capacity operations by the end of 2026. Single-day tickets are mostly restricted to Annual Passholders or off-peak windows, with most guests needing multi-day tickets to access the park.

The careful capacity management reflects Universal's learning from the park's chaotic opening months, when ride breakdowns and overwhelming crowds created a suboptimal guest experience. The measured approach prioritizes experience quality over raw attendance numbers.
