Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Construction Rises at Universal Studios

Buildings are visibly rising for the new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster at Universal Studios Florida. The ride, which replaces the retired Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, will feature cars that spin 360 degrees and a 170-foot vertical spike near CityWalk.

Track pieces have arrived on site, with roofing now being installed on the main structures. The massive vertical spike is expected to be one of the most visually striking elements visible from outside the park.

The Florida installation is scheduled to open in 2027, following the debut of the same ride concept at Universal Studios Hollywood. The coaster promises to be a marquee addition to Universal Studios Florida's lineup.
