Harry Potter Ride Implements Capacity Restrictions at Epic Universe

Universal began closing the queue line for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry when wait times hit 4+ hours, implementing an "at capacity" protocol for the first time. Rather than allowing wait times to climb indefinitely, Universal caps the queue and uses a virtual queue system.

The virtual queue offers three daily return time slots at 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. The ride has regularly posted wait times of 6-8 hours during peak periods, creating significant frustration for guests who travel specifically to experience the groundbreaking attraction.

The extreme demand has motivated Universal to plan a major expansion of the Wizarding World area, with construction permits already filed for a 150,000 square foot addition adjacent to the Ministry of Magic portal.
