Prince Gator Debuts as New Mardi Gras Character at Universal

Universal Orlando introduced Prince Gator, a brand-new character presented as the son of the iconic King Gator parade float, for limited-time meet-and-greets during Mardi Gras 2026.

The gold-and-green, bead-wearing, crowned character is stationed near the Pantages Theater beneath the Hollywood Wave. Like Earl the Squirrel during the holidays, Prince Gator poses for photos and signs autographs, though he does not have a fixed daily schedule.

The character has quickly become a fan favorite, with social media posts featuring Prince Gator generating significant engagement. Universal continues to build a roster of unique, park-exclusive characters to complement their licensed properties.
