Stardust Racers Closes for Extended Refurbishment at Epic Universe

Stardust Racers at Epic Universe closed on February 19 for what was initially billed as a brief 3-day refurbishment. The closure was extended first to February 28, then again to March 14, marking the third time the ride has closed in less than a year.

Universal has not publicly stated the reason for the extended closure, though it follows a January incident where trains valleyed during high winds and a crane was needed for recovery.

The extended downtime impacted the park experience significantly, as Stardust Racers is widely considered the best roller coaster in Florida. Universal also canceled a planned Yoshi's Adventure refurbishment to avoid having too many attractions offline simultaneously.
