Villains Land Permits Reveal Larger Buildings at Magic Kingdom

New construction permits filed in February 2026 show that Villains Land's main E-ticket dark ride building at Magic Kingdom has increased by more than 13%, adding roughly 11,000 additional square feet to the structure.

The permits also reveal a completely rerouted water management system and more defined building outlines. Rumors circulated that initial plans were scrapped in favor of something bigger, though Disney has not confirmed any design changes.

The land remains in a clearing and foundation phase, with a projected debut of late 2028 or early 2029. When complete, Villains Land will bring iconic Disney villains to the forefront in their own immersive themed environment.
