Volcano Bay Goes Fully Cashless

Universal's Volcano Bay water park transitioned to fully cashless operations effective February 25, 2026. All purchases must be made via credit or debit cards, Universal Pay, Universal Gift Cards, or other tap-to-pay methods.

Cash-to-Card kiosks are available for guests who arrive with only cash, allowing them to load funds onto a Visa prepaid card at no charge. The move follows a broader industry trend toward cashless operations.

The change was implemented ahead of a separately announced five-month closure beginning in October 2026, during which Volcano Bay will undergo a massive refurbishment to upgrade wave pools, ride launches, and water filtration systems.
