Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Returns for 2026

The annual runDisney Marathon Weekend took place January 7-11, featuring a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon with races themed to storybook genres. The 5K featured a sci-fi theme with Pluto, the 10K a mystery theme with Chip 'n Dale, the Half Marathon a romance theme with Donald and Daisy, and the Full Marathon a fantasy theme with Mickey and Minnie.

The popular Dopey Challenge, which requires runners to complete all four races over four days, and Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge also returned for 2026. Thousands of runners from around the world descended on Walt Disney World for the weekend-long event.

Race routes wound through all four Disney World theme parks, giving participants a unique perspective on the resort before regular park operating hours.
