SeaWorld Orlando SeaWorld Orlando has a new five-month-old Pacific walrus calf, Annautaq, rescued on a remote northern Alaska beach and rehabilitated at the Alaska SeaLife Center. He is getting up to six bottle feedings a day during a 30-day quarantine before meeting the park's walrus herd. No public viewing date yet.
Disney World Disney World has posted park hours for December 21 to 31. Magic Kingdom currently opens at 9am every day, an hour later than last Christmas week, and closes at 10pm most nights and midnight on December 30 and New Year's Eve. These are early listings, and hours often grow closer to the date.
Legoland Florida Legoland Florida's opening hours calendar shows LEGOLAND Water Park open only on October 24, 25 and 31 and November 1 for the rest of 2026. After that it shows no water park dates until Saturday, February 13, 2027, when limited, mostly weekend operation starts, with daily operation returning March 5.
SeaWorld Orlando SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando have added another round of free bonus guest tickets: two per Pass Member and one per Fun Card holder, claimable October 19 to 31 and good through October 31. SeaWorld Pass Members and Fun Card holders also get an extra $10 in SeaWorld Bucks from October 19 to 25.
Disney World The Room Requests screen in My Disney Experience now shows a longer, more resort-specific list of choices, like Near Skyliner at Caribbean Beach or Rock Inn Section at All-Star Music. You get two request slots, plus a Prioritize Room Readiness box that puts an early room ahead of both. Requests are still not guaranteed.
Disney World Josh D'Amaro walked Tropical Americas, Monstropolis and Disney's Lakeshore Lodge with Imagineers and shared the photos. The Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent temple at Animal Kingdom shows off its turquoise, red and gold rockwork from behind the scaffolding, and D'Amaro signed the floor at Lakeshore Lodge.
SeaWorld Orlando The Sesame Street Christmas Breakfast is now on SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas booking page for select dates November 7 to December 20 at Seafire Grill, at $39.99 for adults ages 10 and up. Last December the same page started at $34.99. No child ticket was listed when we checked on October 20, and kids under 3 eat free with a reservation.
Disney World Disney's updated refurbishment notice for the Polynesian now says work continues through early 2027, including the front entrance roadway reconfiguration. The wording also changed from all to most resort dining, pools and amenities staying available, and Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace is still listed as closed through late October.
SeaWorld Orlando Two live ride-status feeds showed Mako operating at SeaWorld Orlando on Tuesday, October 20, with a 10-minute wait at 1:10 p.m., a week after the coaster was closed following a rider's death on Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. Both feeds briefly listed it as closed around 1:20 p.m., then showed it running again by 1:25 p.m. SeaWorld has not announced a reopening.
Universal Orlando Guests waiting for the haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 35 now hear a rules announcement, recently added according to WDW News Today, telling them not to touch performers, harass others, cut the line or engage in horseplay. Breaking the rules "will result in removal from the event."
Disney World Disney's own listing now says Meet Ariel at Walt Disney Presents is temporarily unavailable from October 28, with Ariel greeting guests at Echo Lake near 50's Prime Time Cafe. No hours are posted for October 27, and last year she did not move back until January 12.
Universal Orlando NBC Sports Grill & Brew at Universal CityWalk has three new NBA-season dishes: the Onion Hoop, the Slam Dunk Chicken Bacon Ranch Sammie and the PB & Jammm doughnut. A tip-off party with a live DJ and referee stilt walkers runs Tuesday, October 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. Universal has not posted prices.
Disney World Starting October 20, Walt Disney World and Disneyland guests can opt in to have their Disney PhotoPass photos appear automatically in their Shutterfly account. Disney Cruise Line and Aulani follow in early 2027, and Shutterfly.com gets a new Disney shopping hub with park-inspired designs sold only there.

The child price went the other way, up $1 to $14.99. Both are still above the $17.99 and $12.99 an archived 2024 listing showed. Select dates run November 7 to December 19.
Universal Orlando A ceiling fan fell in the Stardust Racers queue at Epic Universe on Sunday, October 18. The guest who filmed it says it narrowly missed guests; a commenter says it hit a guest. The coaster appears to have stayed closed for the rest of the day, and it was running again Monday evening.
Disney World Since September 10, drivers heading to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa were looped past overflow and Cast Member parking. As of Monday, October 19, the southern roundabout on Floridian Way connects straight to the resort's main entrance road again.

Legoland Florida Two new Legoland blog posts list the 2026 Black Friday lineup a month before the sale starts: the Standard Pass at $99 instead of $179, tickets with SEA LIFE Florida from $49 and Peppa Pig tickets from $27. The official sale page still shows no prices.
Disney World Animal Kingdom was posted at 8am-6pm for all of November 1 to 8. Five of those days now run later, two of them to 8pm. Magic Kingdom adds an hour on Saturday, November 7, and Hollywood Studios opens at 8:30am that morning.

Disney World Guests can now see Disney's Lakeshore Lodge laid out in miniature at Hollywood Studios. The model in Walt Disney Presents shows the lazy river, both pools, the A-frame Lake Houses and the Bay Lake pier, alongside a sparrow maquette, Bambi drawings and room artwork.
Universal Orlando For one night only, Brightline is running a late train from Orlando to South Florida for Halloween Horror Nights fans. It leaves at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 25, after Saturday, October 24 (a week before Halloween, which falls on a Saturday this year), and a free one-way shuttle runs from Universal to the station.

Disney World The spot in the Remy's Ratatouille Adventure queue at EPCOT where guests used to collect 3D glasses is now a long, lit lattice window. Animated shadows of Remy, Emile and other rats move along it, rolling cheese and hauling food in the same direction guests walk.
Universal Orlando A Universal patent application published October 15 describes radar mounted on a ride vehicle that watches the space riders are not supposed to enter. If a guest stands up or reaches into a restricted zone, the system can change how the ride is operating, ideally before anyone gets out.
Disney World Magic Kingdom's Be Our Guest, The Plaza and Tony's Town Square have new dishes. Be Our Guest adds Beef Bourguignon en Croute, Truffle Pomme Frites and Lobster Macaroni au Gratin; The Plaza adds a $23 shrimp wedge salad; Tony's adds a $35 Lasagna alla Bolognese and a $32 plant-based Eggplant Parmigiana.

Navy Federal Credit Union fireworks light up Bayside Stadium Friday through Sunday, and this year's event page adds a National Anthem Ceremony, an Honor Wall photo spot, a Field of Honor around Orca Stadium and meet-and-greets with Sammie the Sea Otter.
