Comcast Tells Investors the Broader Orlando Market Began Softening in June, and That Universal Orlando's Growth Came In Below Expectations
An earlier version of this article, including its headline, reported that Comcast told investors attendance at Universal Orlando began softening in June and had weakened further into the third quarter. That framing followed Attractions Magazine's write-up of the call, which we cited. Reading the earnings call transcript directly shows two distinct statements. In prepared remarks, co-CEO Mike Cavanagh said "attendance across the broader Orlando market began to soften in June, and that trend has continued into the third quarter." Chief financial officer Jason Armstrong separately said "growth in Orlando came in below our expectations as attendance began to soften in June and has remained pressured into the third quarter." No executive described the trend as having weakened further, and Cavanagh's framing was the broader Orlando market rather than Universal Orlando specifically. The headline, the excerpt and the opening paragraphs have been rewritten to follow the transcript, the transcript has been added to the sources, and Cavanagh's fuller answer on scope has been added. The reported financial figures, the Epic Universe assessment and the rest of the article are unchanged.

Hollywood Drift Bunny Hop Track Installation Begins Beneath the 170-Foot Vertical Spike at Universal Studios Florida
An earlier version of this article identified Premier Rides as Hollywood Drift's widely reported manufacturer. The coaster is manufactured by Intamin, as reported by Orlando ParkStop and reflected in industry references. The launch-system paragraph and a planner note were updated accordingly, and the magnetic-launch precedent at Universal now cites Intamin's VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure.
