Disney walked press through Walt Disney World Costuming, and the details are more practical than magical. The Jungle Cruise skipper shirt's back vents were turned vertical after the old horizontal ones could catch on the steering wheel. The Magic Kingdom entrance shirt uses a color the team calls Cinderella Blue. And the Beauty and the Beast ball gowns lost their hoops.

Disney Took the 2027 Opening Year Off Tropical Americas This Morning, While Monstropolis Now Has One on the Same List

Disney rewrote the Tropical Americas entry on the Coming to the Parks list at DisneyWorld.com on Thursday. Tropical Americas lost the Pueblo Esperanza subtitle and the words "in 2027". Monstropolis, which carried no year in June, now says parts of it open in 2027. Disney has said nothing about a delay, and the Disney Parks Blog still says 2027 twice.

EPCOT's troubled in-ground lighting is gone, and crews have filled the channels with concrete

The light strips in World Celebration Gardens have been pulled out and the empty channels are being packed with concrete that matches the pavers, which points to Disney dropping the effect rather than replacing it. The lighting had been breaking since the day after the area opened in December 2023.

Disney Announced a Spaceship Earth Reimagining at D23 and Did Not Give a Closing Date, Six Years After Shelving the Last One

Disney said at its D23 parks showcase that Spaceship Earth will be reimagined around human connection rather than human communication, its first update since February 2008. It did not announce a closing date, a reopening window or any concept art. Disney also announced a Spaceship Earth overhaul in 2019, with a May 2020 closing date, then shelved it.

Dreamfinder is returning to EPCOT with Figment, nearly 28 years after his last ride through Journey Into Imagination

Disney closed its D23 showcase with a reveal it had never teased: Dreamfinder is coming back to EPCOT alongside Figment, in a new version of Journey Into Imagination. Neil Patrick Harris walked out in full Dreamfinder costume, and Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum made the announcement. There is no attraction name, no concept art and no timeline yet.
