The Beach Boys Are Off EPCOT's Eat to the Beat Lineup, and John Stamos and the California Sound Take Their November 11 and 12 Nights

Uncle Jesse is still coming to EPCOT in November. The Beach Boys, it appears, are not.

Disney updated its official Eat to the Beat concert schedule on the Disney Parks Blog on Wednesday morning, October 28. The November 11 and 12 nights, which Disney's June lineup gave to The Beach Boys, now read John Stamos and the California Sound. Blog Mickey spotted the change, and says the rest of the lineup is unchanged.

From joining the band to his own billing

Stamos was already part of the November plan. Back on August 31, Laughing Place reported that "John Stamos is set to join The Beach Boys this November at Walt Disney World for the band's special two night engagement," an announcement it said came during a DVC Member Cruise panel. The plan then was Stamos joining original band member Mike Love and The Beach Boys on stage, and Laughing Place noted the band also played Eat to the Beat last year.

Now the band's name is gone from the slot, and Stamos is billed with his own group instead. Stamos played Uncle Jesse on Full House, and Blog Mickey points out that he "has also joined The Beach Boys on stage many times over the years."

Neither Disney nor Blog Mickey has said why The Beach Boys are no longer on the schedule, and Disney's post does not mention the change at all. Disney has since edited the post's introduction as well. Its "returning favorites" line named The Beach Boys alongside Boyz II Men and Yellowcard on Wednesday morning, and by early Wednesday afternoon it read "Boyz II Men, Yellowcard, and more."

The rest of November, as Disney now lists it

  • Nov 1: Southbound
  • Nov 2-3: Boyz II Men
  • Nov 4-5: Big Head Todd and The Monsters (NEW)
  • Nov 6-8: M-80's
  • Nov 9-10: Grace Potter (NEW)
  • Nov 11-12: John Stamos and the California Sound
  • Nov 13-16: The Hooligans

The "NEW" tags are Disney's marker for new acts, and both were already on the June lineup, so they are not part of this week's change. The only slot that moved is November 11 and 12.

How to see the shows

Blog Mickey lists three shows a night, at 5:30pm, 6:45pm and 8:00pm. Disney says the concerts are included with valid EPCOT park admission and seating is first-come, first-served.

For a guaranteed seat, Disney offers the Concert Series Dining Package: a meal at an EPCOT restaurant plus a guaranteed seat at one of that day's concerts, in a reserved part of the theatre. Seats inside that section still go in order of arrival, and Disney recommends getting there early for the best view.

The stage is the America Gardens Theatre, in front of The American Adventure pavilion on World Showcase Lagoon, between the Japan and Italy pavilions. The concert series runs through November 16, and the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival itself continues through November 21.

Were you planning a November night around The Beach Boys, or does Uncle Jesse with his own band still get you to World Showcase?
