Epic Universe's Darkmoor Monster Makeup Now Offers a Temporary Tattoo Option in Dark Universe
Want to channel a classic Universal Monster at Epic Universe without wearing full face paint for the rest of the day? Universal has quietly added a new option. The Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience in the Dark Universe land now lets guests choose a temporary tattoo instead of a full makeup transformation.

What is new
Tucked inside Dr. Pretorius' old lab in Dark Universe, the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience has let guests get transformed by skilled artisans into the Universal Monsters since Epic Universe opened. The update, reported in early July, adds a temporary tattoo as an alternative to face makeup. Universal describes it this way:
Choose from a unique, temporary tattoo or face makeup experience. Become the Universal Monsters you love: Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and more. Ages 5+.

Price and details
The base experience runs $45 per person plus tax and is open to guests ages 5 and up, with anyone under 18 needing to be accompanied by an adult. It is a nice low-commitment add-on for families: the temporary tattoo lets younger guests, or anyone who does not want a full face of makeup, still get in on the monster fun and wash it off later. Some third-party guides also mention a higher-tier package that bundles makeup with matching accessories, though the exact package names and pricing vary, so check in person for the current lineup.
It is a small addition, but it fits Dark Universe perfectly, and it is a fun, hands-on way to become a monster for the day, or just for a photo.
