Welcome to Monstropolis

Disney named this show at D23 in August 2026, resolving what it had previously listed only as a Monsters, Inc. theatrical experience. Welcome to Monstropolis plays in the Glob Theater, the landmark venue at the center of the Monstropolis land at Hollywood Studios, and is hosted by Mike and Sulley. The title song was written by Randy Newman, which Disney says is the first song he has composed specifically for a Disney theme park. The show frames the land's premise: set after the events of the film, once laughter powers the city, Monstropolis holds H.U.M.A.N. Day, short for Humans Understanding Monsters Are Nice, and opens its doors to human guests. Disney has not announced a runtime, a show schedule or a capacity. It is part of the portion of Monstropolis Disney says will open in 2027.
