About this Ride
Cars Ridge Run Rally is the headline ride of Piston Peak National Park, the Cars themed area replacing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in a reimagined section of Frontierland. Disney confirmed the name at D23 on August 15, 2026. Disney describes a thrilling rally race through the mountains where guests take on wild terrain, climb mountain trails, dodge geysers and splash through mudholes. A full size ride vehicle model shown at D23 seats six, has no doors and rides on 32 inch wheels. The surrounding land includes a visitor lodge, Ranger HQ and trails built in National Park Service parkitecture style, with geysers stretching from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad into the rally trails. Disney has not announced an opening date.
