Disney World Goes Big for America's 250th With Rare EPCOT Fireworks Three Nights and a July 4 Air Force Flyover
The Fourth of July is always a big deal at Walt Disney World, but this one is bigger. 2026 marks America's 250th birthday, and Disney has scaled up the celebration to match. The headliner for Orlando is at EPCOT, where the rare Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks finale, normally a one night only treat on July 4, is lighting up the sky three nights in a row this year.

EPCOT's rare fireworks, now three nights
Heartbeat of Freedom is the patriotic finale that caps EPCOT's nighttime show Luminous: The Symphony of Us. It usually only appears on July 4 itself, which is why fans treat it as a bit of a unicorn. For the 250th, Disney is running it on July 3, 4, and 5, giving guests three chances to catch it instead of one. Look for it right after Luminous, at about 9:15 p.m. each night.
Magic Kingdom's Celebrate America returns
Over at Magic Kingdom, the classic Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky is back nightly on July 3, 4, and 5 at 9 p.m. Between the two parks, you have a full-scale patriotic fireworks option every night of the holiday weekend.
A Fourth of July flyover
Here is the one that will make you look up. On Saturday, July 4, the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 920th Rescue Wing, based at nearby Patrick Space Force Base, is scheduled to fly over Magic Kingdom and then EPCOT beginning around 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. The flyover features HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopters and HC-130J Combat King II aircraft. Disney describes the tribute this way:

Everything else happening this weekend
The fireworks and flyover anchor a much longer list of red, white, and blue touches:
- Voices of Liberty performing at EPCOT July 3 through 5, with exclusive echo hallway sets on July 4.
- The U.S. Air Force Band of the West playing Disney Springs on July 3 and 4.
- Spaceship Earth lit in red, white, and blue.
- The Portraits of Courage veterans exhibit extended through the weekend.
- Limited-time patriotic food and merchandise across the parks, including a Sam Eagle popcorn bucket.
It all rolls up into Disney's company-wide Disney Celebrates America campaign, which includes a 24 hour cross-network broadcast starting the evening of July 3. However you celebrate, this is shaping up to be one of the most decked-out Fourths in recent Disney memory.
