Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party finally gets a Captain Jack Sparrow show in Adventureland. Disney announced last weekend that the 2026 hard-ticket Halloween event will feature a new piece of entertainment listed on the official site as See Spirited Swashbucklers, with Jack Sparrow leading what Disney is calling "a swashbuckling series of pirate antics."

What fans are saying about The Rusty Cutlass

The Rusty Cutlass pirate band has been a longtime MNSSHP Adventureland fixture, performing a strolling-musician act near the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance. The band is not yet on Disney's confirmed 2026 MNSSHP entertainment list, which has fans wondering whether Spirited Swashbucklers replaces it or runs alongside it. Disney has not addressed the question, and Disney Tourist Blog notes Rusty Cutlass is simply absent from the current entertainment listing rather than confirmed removed.

Aerial photos by bioreconstruct, published by Orlando ParkStop on June 29, show Universal upgrading the original Ultrasaur and baby Stegosaurus animatronics inside Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure during the ride's 10-month refurb. A clean white armature has been installed for the Ultrasaur's neck and the baby Stego has had its face skin removed to upgrade the head's moving elements. Inside The Magic separately confirmed the entrance roof shingles (in place since 1999) and sections of the ride track are being replaced. The ride closed January 5, 2026 and is scheduled to reopen November 20, 2026.
