Legoland Florida Posted 26 Dates for Holidays at LEGOLAND, More Than Double Last Year's 11, and It Opens Before Thanksgiving

Legoland Florida's Christmas event is about to run on more than twice as many dates as it did last year, and it arrived without any announcement we can find.

The calendar for Holidays at LEGOLAND is simply sitting on the official page now, listing 26 select dates. Last season the same event ran 11.

The dates

The official page heads the event "Select Dates Nov 21 - Jan 3" and then lists every one of them:

  • November: 21, 22, 27, 28, 29
  • December: 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
  • January: 1, 2, 3

That is 26 event dates. The opening date is also the earliest in at least five seasons, and the first in that stretch to land before Thanksgiving rather than after it. November 21 is the Saturday before Thanksgiving week, and the November 27, 28 and 29 block is the Friday, Saturday and Sunday right after the holiday itself. December turns into a straight daily run from the 18th through the 31st, fourteen days without a gap, and then the whole thing keeps going into the new year, through January 3, 2027.

What it replaced

Last year the event was a December affair and nothing else. The 2025 dates were December 6, 13, 20, and 24 through 31, which is 11 dates. That version was presented by Hallmark Channel, as the 2023 and 2024 seasons were, and its last date, December 31, was also the park's separate Kids' New Year's Eve event. The 2026 page no longer names Hallmark in its description, but it still carries a "Presented by Hallmark Channel" banner image.

One caveat on that comparison, and it matters. 2025 was the short season, not the normal one. The event ran November 24 to December 31 in 2023 and November 29 to December 31 in 2024, both on select dates, and both landed in the high teens. So 2026 is not a doubling of a steady baseline. It is a rebound past those seasons to the biggest calendar in at least five seasons. The 2023 and 2024 openings both landed on the day after Thanksgiving, while 2025 did not start until December 6.

Against last year specifically, though, the change is not a nudge. It is a start date moved about two weeks earlier, more than double the number of dates, and a run that now spills into January.

What the park says is in it

The description on the page is doing its best: "Sleigh into the jolliest time of year with Holidays at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort! Surprise your family with bricktastic holiday fun coming down the chimney, including tons of holly jolly LEGO® décor and lights, a gigantic LEGO Christmas Tree, and festive LEGO entertainment. Plus, meet the Minifigure in the red suit, LEGO Santa, and his cheery LEGO Holiday Minifigure crew throughout the Park."

The important part for anyone doing the math on a November trip is the last line: "The icing on top of the fruitcake - Holidays at LEGOLAND is included in General Park Admission." No upcharge, no separate ticket, no hard ticket night. Twenty-six dates of it.

The parts we are not going to pretend to know

We can find no press release, so we cannot date this as an announcement. The Internet Archive does narrow it down, though. As late as April 12, 2026 the same page listed no dates at all. Its date line read only "Select Dates Nov - Dec," and the "Sleigh into the jolliest" copy that heads the page today was not there yet, though the rest of last season's page was, character lineup and activity list included. So the calendar went up sometime between mid April and now. It is on the site, and that is the entire provenance.

The tree photo on the page carries the alt text "ALL-NEW BRICKTASTIC LEGO® CHRISTMAS TREE! at LEGOLAND Florida" but a giant brick tree was already the centerpiece last season, so that wording may be recycled and we are not treating it as a new build. The same goes for the activity list, and at least one piece of it looks stale. The page still says the North Pole Postal Service letter writing is available only on December 6 through 25 event days, which is word for word what it said last season, when December 6 was opening day. On a calendar that now starts November 21, that would leave every November date out. Several of the things pictured on the page, including the sleigh build competition and the letters to LEGO Santa, ran in 2025 too, and the park has not flagged which pieces are additions.

What is solid is the calendar, and the calendar got a lot longer.
