SeaWorld Quietly Added The Dark Net to Its Howl-O-Scream Lineup, and a Cyborg Vampire Bar to Match

The energy ran out first. The blood was the workaround.

That is the pitch for The Dark Net, the fourth all-new haunted house to be named for Howl-O-Scream 2026, which appeared on SeaWorld Orlando's official attractions page with no separate reveal and no coverage anywhere else that we could find.

Cyborgs found a new power source

SeaWorld's setup is short and grim. The house is set in a future city that an energy crisis has pushed to the brink, and the machines there adapted by finding, in the park's words, "a new power source: blood."

From there the description sends you down. Guests head into the rotting underside of the city, where SeaWorld promises cybernetic predators in the dark, machines preying on other machines and humans caught in between.

The closing image is the one worth reading twice. Among the neon-lit ruins, SeaWorld writes, "black oil drips alongside fresh blood," and once the cyborgs are hungry enough, "these creatures can't always tell the difference."

Tonally it stands apart from the other named houses. The other three all-new houses are a haunted open house, a creature in a tunnel system, and a licensed slasher. This one is neon cyberpunk, a register that so far only the new Byte Bar shares.

The new bar runs on the same idea

The Dark Net was not the only thing added quietly. The Byte Bar also went up on the attractions page, and it runs on the same premise. SeaWorld's copy tells guests to plug in and power up at the bar, where, it says, "cyborg vampires are serving up a sinister new kind of nightlife."

Blood-drinking cyborgs in the house, cyborg vampires behind the bar. SeaWorld does not say outright that the two share a world, and it has not said where in the park the bar sits, but the copy runs the same idea. The bar is themed as a digital underworld with cocktails to match, and SeaWorld closes the pitch on the pun you would expect: "before something decides to take a byte out of you."

Neither The Dark Net nor the Byte Bar appears in Haunted Attraction Network's running Howl-O-Scream Orlando tracker, which was current to August 9 and still listed two all-new houses and four of the five all-new bars as unannounced. Both are on SeaWorld's own page now. The tracker also counts the event differently than the park does, listing six haunted houses where SeaWorld's event page lists five.

That is all four all-new houses

SeaWorld's event page promises "5 haunted houses with 4 ALL-NEW storylines." With The Dark Net named, all four of those all-new houses now have titles:

• Everything Must Stay, the suburban open house that has ended badly for six years running
• I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch, the Sony licensed house set in Southport
• The Crawl Space, the tunnel network abandoned after a containment failure
• The Dark Net, the blood-powered cyborg city

The fifth house is a returning one, and SeaWorld has still not said which. Its slot on the attractions page carries a "RETURNING!" tag and a placeholder card.

What is still behind the curtain

The scare zone list is still incomplete, and SeaWorld's own pages do not agree on how incomplete. Extermination Order, Nekrosis and Just One More Chapter are named, alongside returning zones Trailer Park Tragedy and Woodrot Hollow. The event page counts six zones in all, four of them all-new, which would leave one to go. The attractions page carries three unnamed all-new zone cards, and Haunted Attraction Network counts seven zones with five all-new.

The bars have further to go. Two of five are named: the Byte Bar and The Rewind, a 1990s throwback whose props run from VHS stacks and landlines to the screech of a dial-up modem.

SeaWorld has said reveals continue weekly, and the attractions page still carries placeholder cards under all-new tags where the rest belong.

If you are going

Howl-O-Scream 2026 runs select nights from September 11 through October 31. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m., and it is a separately ticketed event, with SeaWorld stating that "Fun Cards and Annual Passes are not valid for entry."

SeaWorld is currently listing an Any Night Ticket at $38.99, down from $125.99, under what it calls the Killer Summer Sale, good for one visit on any event night. SeaWorld also notes the ticket does not include daytime admission to the park. The event is designed for mature audiences, with SeaWorld flagging "intense adult themes including blood, gore, and violence." Costumes are not permitted.

Beyond the houses, the event page promises six scare zones, two roaming hordes, five all-new bars, four rides running after dark (Mako, Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice, Ice Breaker and Pipeline) and live shows including Throttle and Monster Stomp.
