Universal's Keyholder Bar Menu Is Out, and Two of Its Drinks Appear Nowhere Else at Halloween Horror Nights 35

Universal has published the full dining menu for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and buried in it is the drink list for the one bar inside the park with a door policy.

The Keyholder Bar, in Music Plaza at Universal Studios Florida, carries two cocktails that do not turn up at any of the event's other venues. On the menu Universal posted, Frank's Fizz and Bleeding Eye each appear at exactly one location, and it is this one.

The two drinks you can only get here

Frank's Fizz is New Amsterdam vodka, blue raspberry syrup, Sprite and Fanta Orange. A 20 ounce souvenir cup is $19, a 12 ounce single serve is $15, and a 20 ounce refill is $15. It is also the only one of the two with a listed mocktail, at $10.

Bleeding Eye is Cuervo Tradicional blanco tequila, DeKuyper creme de cassis, lime juice, agave nectar and ginger beer. Same structure on price: $19 for the 20 ounce souvenir cup, $15 for a 12 ounce single serve, $15 for a 20 ounce refill.

Beyond those two, everything the Keyholder Bar pours turns up somewhere else at the event. Premium Cocktails, listed as Your Choice of Hooch, run $21 for the 20 ounce souvenir cup and $17 for a refill or a 20 ounce single serve. Clown Town Cider and All Ale the Pumpkin Lord are both $18 for the 20 ounce souvenir cup, $15 for a refill and $14 for a 20 ounce single serve. Maniac Mix and Oddfellow's Elixir are $15 each, and a canned Carnival Sour Ale is $14.25.

Who actually gets in

The access rule is printed right on the menu entry: the bar is "Only available for Universal Hotel Guests, UO Annual Passholders, & Universal Rewards Cardmembers." That is three ways in, and a Halloween Horror Nights ticket on its own is not one of them. You still need event admission to be in the park at all, but admission alone will not get you in. On the passholder side, WDW News Today reported that both an Annual and a Seasonal Pass qualify.

None of this is a surprise if you have been following the event. Universal flagged the Keyholder Bar on August 12, when it announced the Halloween overlays coming to its hotel bars, with the same location and the same three groups on the list, and the pitch at the time was exclusive access to a bar of their own, with quicker service on cocktails and mocktails. What was missing then was what is in the glass and what it costs. That is what landed this week.

It is worth being precise about what is exclusive here. Universal calls the bar new for this year, and what is genuinely restricted is the room and those two recipes.

The event opens Friday

Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs select nights from August 28 through November 1, which puts opening night this Friday. Universal is billing the year as the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, with Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow presiding as what its own release calls "twisted ringmasters."

Music Plaza is the open concert plaza in Production Central, a short walk in from the main gate, so the Keyholder Bar sits in one of the park's main gathering spaces on event nights. Whether a restricted door there reads as a genuine perk or as one more velvet rope will depend on how easy it turns out to be to get in.
