A Viral Video Appears to Show a Temporary Wall Falling on Guests at Universal Orlando, and the Park Says It Won't Comment

A short video making the rounds on social media this week has put an uncomfortable spotlight on Universal Orlando. The clip appears to show sections of a temporary construction wall coming down on a group of guests along the walkway that carries visitors from the parking garages toward the security checkpoint and Universal CityWalk. Orlando's News 6 reported on the footage on July 23.

According to News 6's Alex Cook, the guest who recorded the video said it happened last month during a heavy rainstorm. In her TikTok post, she said she and her friends were directly underneath the structure when it came down. The video has been viewed more than 300,000 times on TikTok. The woman who shared it did not want to be interviewed.

What is confirmed, and what is not. The footage shows poor weather, but it would be premature to blame wind or rain without confirmation, as Inside the Magic cautioned in its own write up. Inside the Magic also notes that the clips focus largely on the aftermath, showing scattered wooden framing and a fallen panel rather than the moment of collapse. You can hear screaming in the video, but no injuries have been confirmed, and it is unclear how long the walkway was closed afterward or what inspections followed.

Universal has said very little. Asked about the incident, the resort told News 6, "We do not comment on pending claims." The wording implies a claim may be involved, though nothing further has been made public.

For now, the video is raising the questions the resort has not answered: how the temporary barrier was secured, and why it came down. We will update this story if Universal or local officials share more.
