Disney Springs Added a Roller Skating Act Called the Harvest Skaters and Stretched Its Fall Season to 91 Days

Disney Springs switched on its fall and Halloween season today, and Disney has given it a longer runway than last year. The Disney Parks Blog post published Tuesday morning puts the celebration at August 11 through November 9, which is 91 days of pumpkins, seasonal menus and roaming performers at the one corner of Walt Disney World that costs nothing to walk into.

The season is nine days longer than last year

Coverage of the 2025 season put Disney Springs Halloween at August 15 through November 4, an 82 day window. This year's August 11 to November 9 span runs 91 days. That is four days earlier on the front end, five days later on the back end, and nine more days overall.

The front end matters more than the number suggests. In 2025 the Halloween food at Disney Springs did not start until August 19. This year most of it started today, August 11, which we laid out last week when Disney posted the foodie guide. Disney Springs is now reaching for Halloween traffic a full week earlier than it did a year ago, and it is doing it before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has finished its first month.

There is a new act, and it is on roller skates

Disney named four roaming acts on Tuesday. Three are placed in Town Center: the Farmhand Drummers, the Pumpkin Stilt Walkers and the Harvest Skaters. The fourth, the Roaming Pumpkin DJ, works the Marketplace, the same spot it held last year.

The Harvest Skaters are the one to flag. The four acts listed for Disney Springs in 2025 were the ZomBeatz Drummers, the Skeleton Stiltwalkers, the Roving Pumpkin DJ and the Squad Ghouls a cappella group. None of them was a skating act. The Harvest Skaters also do not appear on Disney's own fall planning page, which names three seasonal entertainment acts and no skaters, though that page labels its list highlights rather than a full lineup.

The fall acts are Halloween acts wearing different clothes

The more interesting design choice is that Disney built the season in two stages. In its own words, when Halloween approaches in October the Pumpkin Stilt Walkers "have turned into spooky giants," and the Farmhand Drummers are "transformed into a percussion ensemble of zombies."

Line that up against Disney's fall planning page, which lists the October versions under their established names: Zombeatz Drummers, Spooky Stilt Walkers and Roving Pumpkin DJ. The October names map onto the fall ones, which means the acts returning guests know from past Halloweens appear to be working an earlier harvest shift under new names and softer costumes. The pumpkin and gingham phase looks like the addition, not the performers.

That is a sensible way to sell a 91 day season. A zombie drum line in mid August is a hard pitch to a family with a five year old and a dinner reservation. A farmhand drum line is not.

What Disney did not say

No showtimes: Disney has published no performance times and no locations for any of the four acts. Its fall page says only to check back for more information. That is a real gap, because in 2025 the schedule was specific: the Roving Pumpkin DJ every night from August 19, the ZomBeatz Drummers on Fridays and Saturdays from September 5, and the Skeleton Stiltwalkers on Saturdays and Sundays from September 6. Until Disney posts times, the only reliable way to catch any of this is the Times Guide in the My Disney Experience app on the day you go.

Disney also did not say when the October transformation happens, only that it comes with October. And the Squad Ghouls a cappella group from 2025 is missing from Tuesday's list, though Disney's fall page still promises that "ghoulish ghosts harmonize," so we would not write it off yet.

Jock Lindsey's anchors both ends of the window

The August 11 to November 9 span is the same window Disney confirmed for the Halloween overlay at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, which is the clearest sign the date range is a real operational decision rather than a marketing round number. Last year that overlay ran August 19 through November 4. It now opens eight days earlier and closes five days later.

For planners, the practical takeaway is short. Disney Springs is the free Halloween at Walt Disney World, it is open for business as of today, it will look like a harvest festival until October and a haunt after that, and nobody outside Disney knows what time the drummers play.
