Legoland Florida has revealed the headliner for its summer 2026 in-park event, and it's the first major outside IP announced for LEGO Festival 2026. LEGO F1 takes over the new Thrill Zone at LEGO Festival 2026, with pit-crew challenges, a drum-and-percussion hype show, build-and-race kiosks, and a spotlight on F1 ACADEMY, the junior racing championship that develops female motorsport talent.

The headlines:

  • Event: LEGO Festival 2026, headlined by the new LEGO F1 Thrill Zone.
  • Dates: July 20 to August 16, 2026.
  • Location: Legoland Florida Theme Park, Winter Haven.
  • Cost: Included with regular park admission and annual passes.
  • Why it matters: First major IP partner announced for LEGO Festival 2026, which usually leans on LEGO's own original themes.
  • Festival zones: Five total. Music, Creative, Chill-Out, plus two new ones for 2026: Thrill (the LEGO F1 zone) and Play.

What's actually inside the LEGO F1 Thrill Zone

Per Legoland Florida's announcement (carried by Main Street Magic, Laughing Place, and Gotta Go Orlando), the Thrill Zone is built around four named experiences:

  • Brick Stop Challenge. Families race the clock to complete the fastest LEGO F1 pit-crew tire change on a LEGO F1 car.
  • Pit Lane Hype Show. A live drum and percussion performance using tools and snapping LEGO bricks as instruments, built to capture the pulse of a race weekend. Per Laughing Place, it doubles as a family dance-along.
  • Design & Build Racing Experience. Guests design, build, and race their own LEGO F1 brick vehicles.
  • F1 ACADEMY Spotlight. An interactive zone highlighting the junior racing championship that develops female motorsport talent.

What Legoland said

From Brian Bacica, Vice President, Legoland Florida Resort: "LEGO Festival is built for kids and powered by play. It's a limited-time experience where creativity takes the lead and imaginations run wild."

The LEGO F1 partnership rolls out across six Legoland resorts worldwide, with Florida as one of the launch locations.

Quick planner notes

  • LEGO Festival is included with regular park admission and annual passes. No separate ticket.
  • Build in time to hit all four Thrill Zone experiences. Legoland has not published per-activity timing, so plan a flexible window if you want to do them all.
  • The F1 ACADEMY Spotlight is framed around inspiring girls to engage with motorsports rather than deep racing-fan content, so expect a kid-first tone.
  • Florida is one of six Legoland resorts worldwide getting the LEGO F1 partnership (California, Deutschland, Florida, New York, Shanghai, and Windsor), so if you also have a future trip to one of the others, expect to see related content there.
