Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida's biggest summer event has wrapped its opening Memorial Day weekend, and the media coverage is now in. The Pig Family Travel Adventure launched Saturday May 23, 2026, and continues on select dates through Sunday June 28. We covered the announcement on May 7; this is the opening-weekend payoff with the actual on-site mechanic now public via the media coverage that ran this week.

The headlines:

  • Run: Saturday May 23 through Sunday June 28, 2026, on select dates only. Operating days: May 23, 24, 25, 30, 31; June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 (weekends plus Memorial Day).
  • Included with regular Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida admission. No separate ticket or upcharge.
  • Each guest gets a "Pig Family Travel Adventure" Passport and collects stamps across five themed zones.
  • Completing all activities earns a special-edition pop badge, while supplies last.
  • The Pig family's first holiday as five, with baby Evie joining Peppa, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, and George in the lineup.

How the passport mechanic works

At entry, every guest is handed a Pig Family Travel Adventure Passport. The five themed zones each correspond to a destination the Pig family visits on their holiday, and each zone has a hands-on activity that earns a stamp:

  • Australia: Coral reef spotting.
  • China: Great Wall foam-block building.
  • France: Family portraits.
  • South Pole: Winter-gear dress-up.
  • USA: Landscape puzzle.

Collect all five stamps and you earn the special-edition pop badge at the end. The badge is described as "while supplies last," so it's a meaningful pickup early in the event run.

Photo ops and meet-and-greets

  • Miss Rabbit's airplane photo op, themed to the family's holiday departure.
  • Meet-and-greets with the full Pig family: Peppa, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, George, and Evie, the newest addition to the Pig family.
  • A park-wide scavenger hunt to help the Pig family pack for their trip.

What Bacica said

Brian Bacica, Vice President of Peppa Pig Theme Park, framed the event in the announcement: "At Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida, everything is designed with little ones and their families in mind, and this summer event is no different." And on the family hook: "Pig Family Travel Adventure invites families to create unforgettable memories together as they join Peppa and her family on their first holiday as five."

How it stacks with the rest of summer at the Legoland Florida Resort

The Pig Family Travel Adventure is the back-half-of-May / June anchor. The rest of the summer pipeline:

  • Now operating: Pig Family Travel Adventure (May 23 - June 28, select dates) and Galacticoaster at Legoland Florida (open since February 27).
  • Thursday June 11 - July 19: FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience launches at Legoland Florida.
  • Monday July 20 - Sunday August 16: LEGO Festival returns for its second year at Legoland Florida (we covered this on May 17), with new Thrill Zone and Play Zone joining Music, Creative, and Chill Out.

Quick planner notes

  • Next operating dates: Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31. After that, every weekend through June 28 (plus the bonus Memorial Day already past).
  • Get to the park early to start the Passport stamp loop. The five activity zones can take 60-90 minutes to walk through with kids; plan a half-day at minimum.
  • The pop badge is the carrot. "While supplies last" makes early-season visits the safer bet for guaranteed pickup.
  • Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida is a separately ticketed gated park within the Legoland Florida Resort. If you have a Legoland Florida ticket but not a Peppa ticket, you'll need to buy a Peppa add-on or a combo ticket.
  • Stack with Legoland Florida itself. Galacticoaster is operating; FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience launches at Legoland on June 11; LEGO Festival lands July 20.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Battles a Days-Long AC Outage During a Central Florida Heat Wave

A stay at one of Walt Disney World's flagship Deluxe resorts is not supposed to come with a box fan, but that has been the reality for some guests at Disney's Wilderness Lodge this week. The main building's central air conditioning has been down since Thursday, June 18, just as Central Florida sweltered under back-to-back heat advisories with feels-like temperatures topping 105 degrees. By Monday, June 22, Disney had trucked in temporary chillers and portable spot coolers and many guest rooms had cooled back down, though the Grand Lobby and some interior spaces stayed warm, and the central system was not yet fully restored. Disney has not commented publicly.

Universal Files Permits for a 71,500-Square-Foot Building in Epic Universe's Dark Universe

Universal Files Permits for a 71,500-Square-Foot Building in Epic Universe's Dark Universe

Something big is taking shape in the spookiest corner of Epic Universe. A new permit filing points to a building of roughly 71,500 square feet planned for the heart of Darkmoor Village, the classic-monsters town inside the park's Dark Universe world, with Stantec Architecture listed on the paperwork. That footprint is on par with full attractions at Epic Universe, like the Mario Kart ride and the Untrainable Dragon show, so this is no gift shop. Universal will only say that permit filings are routine and that it has no further details to share, which leaves the fun question wide open: a new monster ride, a theater, or something else entirely?
