Chocolate on your halibut. Chocolate in your beef stew. And a lobster dish with white chocolate in its name. That is the plan at Universal CityWalk from October 25 to 31.

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen is marking National Chocolate Day, which falls on Wednesday, October 28, with six limited dishes served from Sunday, October 25, through Saturday, October 31. Universal announced the menu in a Discover Universal blog post on October 22, describing it as "all about surf and turf" with a little dessert on the side.

The three savory dishes

Chocolate Crusted Blackened Halibut: served with arugula and frisée with apples, feta brûlée, dried cranberries, cucumbers and grape tomatoes, finished with a white chocolate balsamic vinaigrette and a white chocolate-crushed roasted almond brittle.

Beef Bourguignon: the classic stew with a sweet potato pavé, broiled broccolini and a chocolate-mushroom velouté.

White Chocolate & Coconut Lobster: lobster with gnocchi, preserved lemon, blistered tomatoes, leeks, garlic, shallots, caviar and parmesan cheese. The white chocolate and coconut are in the dish's name; Universal's description does not say how they are used.

The three desserts

Corn & Chocolate: tortillas coated in cinnamon-Calabrian sugar, topped with chocolate-hazelnut spread, white chocolate, blackberry compote and Chantilly vanilla-cream.

Pistachio Croissant: a croissant filled with pistachio cream, served with white chocolate ice cream, blackberry compote and caramel.

Chocolate Obsession Sundae: chocolate ice cream topped with brownies, brookies, chocolate gears, crisps, whipped topping and ganache. Universal says all of it is made from chocolate.

What the chef says

In the Discover Universal post, Toothsome Chef Joseph Turner says he tested his own limits in the kitchen this year and is urging guests to be just as adventurous. "If you like chocolate, just come and try different things!" he said.

Crews tearing down The Lost Continent at Universal Islands of Adventure have now reached Mythos Restaurant itself. Video posted October 25 and filmed across the lagoon shows a big piece of the themed rock on the back of the restaurant removed, a yellow turbidity barrier in the water at its base, and the guest path behind Mythos completely walled off. Mythos remains open and is still slated to close in 2027.
