Aerial photos from bioreconstruct show an oversized Peterbilt-style semi truck cab set on a grated steel platform next to one of the first stretches of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift track at Universal Studios Florida. Trains will reverse into the ride's first launch and pass it on the way.
The ride took its last guests Sunday night during a passholder after hours event. By Monday morning the name appeared to have been painted over to bare brick, the listing was gone from the app, and the gift shop was running half off signs.
Fast & Furious: Supercharged closes for good on Monday, August 17, which makes Sunday, August 16 the final day to ride it. Inside Universal reports Universal has confirmed the attraction will be open during Passholder Nights on August 15 and 16, so the very last riders are lined up to be annual passholders at a free, reservation only party that is already at capacity.
Aerial photographer bioreconstruct reported the last pieces going in before sunrise Monday morning at Universal Studios Florida. The tall inversion that was still missing its highest segments on Sunday is now closed up, which means every section of Hollywood Drift track is in place. The coaster is due to open in 2027, and the park's other Fast & Furious ride, Supercharged, runs its final day on August 16.
Aerials posted Friday evening by bioreconstruct show Hollywood Drift track dipping directly behind Music Plaza Stage and threading the soundstage row, while roughly half the concert lawn in front sits stripped for turf replacement and utility work, with the coaster itself targeting a 2027 debut.
