Disney World Is Adding a Walk-Up List Option for Two of Its Hardest-to-Book Lounges, Beak and Barrel and GEO-82

Two of the toughest tables to land at Walt Disney World are about to get a little easier to reach. Disney is adding a walk-up list option in the My Disney Experience app for The Beak and Barrel, the Pirates of the Caribbean tavern at Magic Kingdom, and GEO-82, the lounge tucked inside Spaceship Earth at EPCOT. Both have been strictly reservation-only and notoriously hard to book since they opened, so any path to a walk-up seat is a real change.

What changed

A Join Walk-Up List button has appeared on both lounges in the My Disney Experience app, spotted by guests and outlets around July 9. Advance reservations are not going away. The walk-up list is an added option on top of them, the same system Disney already uses at table-service restaurants, letting you add your party to a virtual queue and get notified when a spot opens up as capacity allows.

One catch: it is not fully live yet

When the button has appeared, the feature has not been switched on. Tapping it returns a message reading:

Unable to Search for Availability Right Now.

Multiple outlets tracking it expect the walk-up list to go live within the next few days. Disney has not announced an exact activation time, and there is no change to pricing or hours, so treat the button as a sign of what is coming rather than something you can use this minute.

Why it matters

Both spots opened about a year ago and quickly became two of the hardest reservations on property. The Beak and Barrel leans into an immersive Pirates theme, while GEO-82 offers a rare chance to sit down and have a drink inside Spaceship Earth, EPCOT's iconic geodesic sphere. Reservations for both have been scarce and snapped up fast. A walk-up list will not conjure extra seats, but it gives guests without a reservation a genuine shot at getting in, especially if they are flexible on timing.

The bottom line

If either lounge is on your list, keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app in the coming days. Once the walk-up option flips on, showing up and joining the list becomes a real backup plan instead of refreshing the reservation page and hoping.

Universal published a room by room walkthrough of the Sinners haunted house one day before Halloween Horror Nights 35 opens. Show director Ramon Paradoa says the team locked the surreal montage set first and designed the scenes before and after it around that, which he says is not always how Universal builds a house. The Sinners house was not on the paid lights on tour that matched three other HHN 35 houses to their codenames last week.
