Universal Finally Named Its Passholder Nights Dishes, and Both Are Locked Behind a Two Night Event That Filled Up in July

Universal Orlando has named the two dishes it was holding back for Passholder Nights, and both land at a party that stopped taking reservations weeks ago.

The resort's blog published the full Passholder Appreciation Days menu on Monday, including an Apple Pie Crepe at Central Park Crepes and Pizza Fries at DreamWorks Imagination Café. Those two are the newsy part. Universal's own Passholder Nights page had promised an exclusive menu item at select locations without ever saying what it was.

What is actually new here

Most of this menu is not new. Ten passholder-exclusive items across CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay were detailed by Inside Universal on July 28, the same day Universal laid out the discount package we wrote up that afternoon. Our story that day noted the resort had promised exclusive menu items without naming them. That list has been public since.

What Monday's post adds is the two Passholder Nights items, full ingredient breakdowns for every dish, chef interviews, and photos.

The two you probably cannot get

Passholder Nights runs August 15 and 16 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Universal Studios Florida. It is free, but advance reservations are required and passholders are limited to one of the two dates. Reservations opened July 7 and both nights filled. They were reported fully booked by late July, which we noted in our July 28 story, and Universal's page still lists advance reservations as required without showing open availability.

Universal lists both dishes under Passholder Nights rather than with the resort wide items, which puts them inside those two evenings:

• Apple Pie Crepe at Central Park Crepes: apple compote, mascarpone cheese, anglaise, and grilled red apples with a brown sugar crumble.
• Pizza Fries at DreamWorks Imagination Café: french fries, marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, and sausage. Universal also lists a vegan version, with vegan cheese, vegan pepperoni, and vegan sausage crumbles.

The ten anyone with a pass can get

These are tied to Passholder Appreciation Days, which runs August 15 through September 30. Universal did not publish an end date for any individual item or say whether any are limited to while supplies last.

Universal CityWalk

• Island Fire Chicken and Waffles at Bob Marley - A Tribute to Freedom: jerk fried chicken on a festival waffle (festival is a Jamaican fried sweet dough) with pomegranate glaze, coconut crema, pickled onions, and micro cilantro.
• Rocky Road Donut at Voodoo Doughnut: chocolate icing, almonds, caramelized mini marshmallows, and a salted caramel fudge drizzle.
• Triangoletti alla Vodka at Vivo Italian Kitchen: parmigiano reggiano stuffed pasta, roasted chicken, basil, and vodka sauce.
• Chocolate Peanut Butter Explosion at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen: a chocolate peanut butter milkshake with chocolate whipped cream, Reese's Pieces, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie.
• Huarache de Chorizo at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food: corn guajillo masa, refried beans, ground chorizo, roasted corn, queso fresco, chayote salad, and cilantro crema.
• Pork Dumplings at The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar: pork dumplings with a sesame coconut dipping sauce and scallions.

Universal Studios Florida

• Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza at Louie's Italian Restaurant: house made dough, tomato sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, pesto, onion, and roasted tomato. Universal notes it can be bought by the slice or as a whole pizza.
• The Tipsy Watermelon at Chez Alcatraz: rum, lemonade, and watermelon syrup. Guests must be 21 or older with valid photo ID.

Islands of Adventure

• 3 Cheese Bavarian Pretzel at Pizza Predattoria: a soft pretzel with mozzarella, asiago, and parmesan, plus marinara for dipping.

Volcano Bay

• Kahuna Bowl at Kohola Reef Restaurant & Social Club: coconut rice, seared glazed spam, a soy egg, island slaw, cucumber and edamame salad, spicy mayo, Japanese BBQ sauce, and sliced scallions.

No prices, on any of it

Universal published ingredient lists for all twelve items and a price for none of them. That is worth flagging five days out from the start. The one number the resort has attached to Passholder Appreciation Days food is the $19.99 Coca-Cola Freestyle souvenir cup, with $6.99 refills, both plus tax. Passholders will find out what a Kahuna Bowl or a whole prosciutto pizza costs at the register.

The other thing the list shows is where the effort went. Six of the ten resort wide items are at CityWalk, which sits outside the gates and needs no park admission. Islands of Adventure gets one item, Volcano Bay gets one, and Universal Studios Florida gets two, one of which is a cocktail.

Epic Universe gets nothing, again

Neither Universal's menu nor Inside Universal's earlier list includes a single location at Epic Universe. The resort's newest park is absent from a promotion named for appreciating passholders, which is the same gap we flagged on July 28: passholders can buy discounted Epic Universe tickets, but there is still no annual pass that includes the park.

Universal has said information about annual passes that include Epic Universe will come later, without attaching a date to it. Passholder ticket discounts for the park are already loaded out to April 2027, which is not a promising signal on timing. For now the pattern holds across the perks, the merchandise, and now the food.
