SeaWorld OrlandoAnnounced September 17, 2025 for a 2026 opening. SeaWorld’s official ride page now says only Coming Soon and no longer commits to a date; trade reporting in April 2026 described a mid construction redesign with no revised date, which SeaWorld has neither confirmed nor denied. Treat the 2026 window as SeaWorld’s last stated intent rather than a current commitment.

Universal Studios FloridaThe show closed on May 12, 2026 for a complete reimagining. Universal has pushed the reopening to winter 2027 and has not announced a date.

Ongoing RefurbishmentWalt Disney's Carousel of Progress
Magic KingdomDisney closed the Carousel of Progress on July 6, 2026 for the biggest update in the attraction's history, including new scenes and a timeline pushed forward. At D23 on August 15, 2026 Disney narrowed the return to late spring 2027 and announced Jamie Lee Curtis as Mom and Bryan Cranston as Dad. Disney has not announced a date.

Mickey Shorts Theater
Hollywood StudiosDisney listed Vacation Fun as temporarily closed beginning August 9, 2026, saying only that it is planned to return later in the year. No reopening date has been announced. The theater itself continues to hand out a free Kermit the Frog magnet to Annual Passholders from August 11 through September 24.

Villains Land Maleficent Coaster
Magic KingdomWalt Disney Imagineering described the Villains Land coaster in detail at D23 on August 15, 2026, including its dragon shaped trains and its route through the briar around Maleficent's fortress. Disney did not name the attraction and did not announce an opening date.

Magic KingdomWalt Disney Imagineering revealed the second Villains Land attraction at D23 on August 15, 2026, a boat dark ride hosted by the Magic Mirror through his Mirror Realm. Disney did not name the attraction and did not announce an opening date.

Ongoing ClosedFast & Furious: Supercharged
Universal Studios FloridaUniversal moved the closure up by roughly a year, from the previously announced 2027 to August 16, 2026, telling Annual Passholders around July 15, 2026. The final operating day is August 16; the ride is closed from August 17. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift takes the site in 2027. Universal has not said why the timeline moved up.
